Can You Be A Submissive Without A Domme?

Hi there, guys! As you’ve probably already noticed, I like to talk about topics on my blog that lead to discussion.

I tell you what I think of a particular topic, and then I ask for your input because I love to know how my readers feel about things.

That’s why today, I’ve chosen a topic that can be pretty controversial,

depending on who you’re talking to. The question for today is, can you be a submissive without a Domme? In my opinion, yes, you absolutely can be submissive without a Domme in your life.

“Submissive” is an adjective in this case.

It’s a description of behavior or of personality traits.

You don’t need a Domme to behave in a submissive way; in fact,

submissive behavior may be so natural to you that you can’t HELP but act that way.

At that point, we’d definitely have to say it’s a personality trait. On the other hand, I don’t think you can be a slave without a Mistress. While the word “submissive” is a word that describes you independent of another person,

the word “slave” describes you in relation to someone or something else.

To be a slave, you have to be owned, so if you’re not owned, you’re not a slave, since that’s pretty much the very definition of the word!

Whether you are a slave to masturbation, spanking, organ denial, or the whip without your Mistress you are not a slave. So, in short, I think that because of different connotations of the words, you can be submissive without a Domme,

but you can’t be a slave without an Owner. You can, however, be a submissive who would love to be a slave! Well, that’s my opinion on the subject. What do you think?
